Cookies and local storage

Last updated: 17 October 2026

This text is a draft prepared for Rentoth. It must be reviewed by a lawyer registered in Morocco before it is relied on.

Rentoth stores only what it needs to work. It uses no advertising cookies and no audience-measurement cookies.

Necessary cookies

When an agency user signs in, a session cookie keeps them signed in. It cannot be read by the pages' scripts, is sent only to the Rentoth service, and expires after seven days or when the user signs out. The Service cannot work without it.

A second necessary cookie, set on www.rentoth.com when a user signs in, only remembers whether to open the dashboard or the administration when they come back to the home page; it holds no personal data, lasts at most seven days and is deleted when the user signs out.

Local storage

  • The language you choose, so the site opens in it next time.
  • For signed-in users, their name, email address, role and agency, so the dashboard can open before the server answers.
  • For users who signed in before the session cookie existed, their previous session token, until it is replaced by the cookie.

Third-party services

The pages of this website load their fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them. Maps (the branch map on agency websites and the fleet map in the dashboard) load their map images from OpenStreetMap's servers, which receive your IP address to deliver them. Car photos and logos are delivered by Cloudinary. These providers set no cookies for Rentoth.

Audience measurement

If you accept it in the banner, this website uses Google Analytics (Google LLC, United States) to measure its traffic: pages viewed, country, type of device and where visits come from. Google Analytics then sets cookies (_ga) that last 13 months at most; the data is kept for 14 months. Nothing is loaded until you accept, and Google Analytics is never used in the dashboard, on agency websites or on the sign-in and signing pages. You can change your mind at any time with the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page.

Your choices

You can delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. Deleting the session cookie signs you out.
